Welcome to CoupleNest. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CoupleNest mobile application (the "App") operated by CoupleNest ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use CoupleNest.
- If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- By using the App, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.
2. Account Registration
- You must sign in using Google or Apple sign-in to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate and complete profile information.
- Each person may only maintain one active CoupleNest account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Partner Connection
- CoupleNest is designed for couples. One partner generates an invite code, and the other enters it to connect.
- You may only connect with one partner at a time.
- By connecting with a partner, you consent to sharing your in-app content (messages, photos, moods, notes, etc.) with them.
- Either partner may disconnect at any time through the App's Settings.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use CoupleNest responsibly. You must NOT:
- Use the App to harass, abuse, stalk, or threaten any person.
- Upload content that is illegal, violent, hateful, sexually exploitative, or violates the rights of others.
- Impersonate another person or create fake accounts.
- Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
5. User Content
- Ownership: You retain ownership of all content you create in the App (messages, photos, notes, etc.).
- License: By posting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the App.
- Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you share. We do not monitor or endorse user content.
- Removal: We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or is reported as abusive.
6. Intellectual Property
- The CoupleNest name, logo, design, and all associated branding are our intellectual property.
- The App's code, interface, features, and documentation are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our permission.
7. Push Notifications
CoupleNest uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to send push notifications about partner activity (new messages, love notes, mood check-ins, virtual hugs, etc.). You can manage notification preferences in the App's Settings or through your device's system settings at any time.
8. Subscription & Payments
CoupleNest is currently free to use. If we introduce premium features or subscriptions in the future, we will clearly communicate pricing, billing terms, and cancellation policies before any charges apply. All payments will be processed through Google Play's billing system.
9. Termination
- By You: You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. We will attempt to notify you before termination when possible.
- Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
- CoupleNest is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the App.
- CoupleNest is not a substitute for professional relationship counseling or therapy.
- We are not responsible for the actions, content, or behavior of other users (including your connected partner).
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoupleNest and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or emotional distress arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CoupleNest and its team from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the App or email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the App and delete your account.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved in the courts of India.
